The net should be fully tensioned and tied off before you attach antennas as any slight adjustment of the net can move the antennae.
Ensure the sidelines of the court are 100% straight (use measurements from the posts if necessary to check).
Put the top bracket (or velcro strap) of the antennae over the top net cord so it's sitting in place by itself and step back to check it’s in line with the outside of the court line.
Adjust as necessary and screw (or velcro) the antennae into place at the top.
Step back to check the antennae is 100% vertical and then attach the bottom of the antennae to the bottom of the net.
Go all the way back behind the court to check they are straight and in line with the outside of the sidelines and adjust as necessary.
Tips:
Having a 2nd person a few metres behind the court to line it up for you makes it much easier and quicker. But still double check afterwards!
If you have to change net height or tension always recheck the antennae afterwards.
Likewise if a ball hits them during a match then recheck. (In a tournament the line judges should spot if they have moved.)
It’s good practice to check between matches.
